Kevin Miller

Kevin Miller | Managing Director

Mr. Miller is responsible for the marketing and management of the financial institution advisory services including loan valuations and bank loan portfolio probable loss estimates. Prior to joining Aperio Advisors, he was a team leader for the Situs FIG division of The Situs Companies. As a team leader at Situs, he led or co-led diligence efforts for more than fifteen national and international bank recapitalizations and note acquisitions. These assignments totaled more than $25 billion in notional amount and also required the analysis of more than 3,000 real estate properties. He also led the diligence efforts for a private equity firms 4Q09 FDIC $1 billion multi-bank note acquisition. In October 2010, he was named to Real Estate Forums 40 under 40 in commercial real estate. Mr. Miller started his banking career in 1996 and was a Capital Advisor for JPMorgan prior to his employment at Situs.

Fred Baca

Fred Baca | Managing Principal

Mr. Baca is the Managing Principal of Aperio Advisors and also serves as the President of the affiliated Mason Partners. He is a 30-year veteran of the real estate industry. From the 1970s to 1980s, Mr. Baca developed a series of commercial property reporting services including The Baca Report, The Apartment Survey, The Office Building Survey and The Foreclosure Report. The Office Building Survey was later incorporated into Co-Star through a merger with Comps, Inc. In the 1990s, he teamed with Stewart Title Company to develop the first Internet smart map of The Greater Houston Area and other technology related systems to link public records with MLS systems. From 2001 to 2009, he served as President of Colliers International Houston Division. Under his leadership, the company increased revenue fourfold and doubled in size.

Matt Deal

Matthew Deal | Principal

Mr. Deal is a Principal of Aperio Advisors and the affiliated Deal Sikes & Associates. He has more than 20 years of real estate valuation experience and is qualified as a testifying expert in civil, country, district, and federal courts. He currently leads the acquisition counseling and appraisal review team for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (TX) for its expansion of light rail throughout Greater Houston. He has made presentations concerning the valuation of real estate and has written articles for publications throughout the United States. He is Chairman of the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE), serves on two CRE national committees, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.

Mr. Mason is a Principal of Aperio Advisors and the affiliated Mason Partners. He has more than 20 years of real estate experience with an extensive background in corporate real estate. He has handled more than $1.5 billion in transactions with notable clients including The Lionstone Group, Metro, AIG, BP Amoco, Weatherford, Service Corporation International, as well as numerous other institutional and individual investors. Prior to founding Mason Partners and Aperio Advisors, he was a partner with McDade, Smith, Gould, Johnston Mason + Company from 2002 to 2010 and spent twelve years as a Senior Director for Cushman & Wakefield within their Brokerage Services Group. Mr. Mason is the past Chairman of the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and past Chairman of the Houston Association of Realtors.

Mark Sikes | Principal

Mr. Sikes is a Principal of Aperio Advisors and the affiliated Deal Sikes & Associates. He has more than 15 years of real estate valuation experience and has counseled and valued real property rights for both private property owners and public agencies for dispute resolution including right-of-way acquisition, breach of contract, construction defects, environmental contamination, estate taxes, title deficiencies, sale/purchase and financing. Mr. Sikes is qualified as a testifying expert and has testified in federal and state courts, and municipal and administrative proceedings including depositions, arbitrations, mediations, special commissioners hearings, jury trials, and bench trials.
